The pudge around his stomach area that Shin Il, even after all these years, had never really managed to get rid of, was proof that he didn't only eat fancy food at expensive restaurants. His diet involved tons of snacks, most of which were bathing in grease just minutes before he consumed them, not to mention all these desserts and pastries he could never get enough of. But when things got serious and he knew he had to show himself from his best side, he could still very much show that he was raised right, if not a little too
He had no idea how he ended up here, sitting at the table he had reserved in one of the town's finest restaurants, hair fixed, in a navy blue blazer and suit pants, waiting for his date. There was somebody he was interested in. There had been somebody like this for several years, and Shin Il was completely convinced that this one person was the only one he'd ever think of like this, but it was this very same person's constant pushes that made the young man agree to go on a date, just to "see how it goes".
Se Na was pretty, she was friendly and there probably were some boys after her. Shin had been surprised to have her agree to meet him here: First, because he didn't exactly see anything attractive about himself, except maybe the black credit card in his wallet, and second, because part of him really believed that maybe this date would help him get over the love he felt for someone else - if just for a few hours.
As he saw the girl he was waiting for being led to his table, he gulped, standing up and readjusting his collar. "Hey. I'm...glad you could make it, you look great."
